Important Note

  • Radiation protection apparel provide protection from secondary radiation and not from direct X-Ray beam.

Storage
  • Store at room temperature under normal humidity conditions.
  • Under no circumstances, should the radiation protection apparel be folded or hung over edges.
  • Should be kept away from heat.

Examination
  • Check for visible damage before use.
  • Radiation protection apparel should be examined at least once in 3 months for damage to ensure that they provide complete protection.
  • Check for signs of faults like tears, visible folds and places of unevenness.

Cleaning & Disinfecting
  • Fresh stains or marks on cloth can be removed with a soft cloth using lukewarm water and liquid soap. In case of older or dried stains or marks, apply lukewarm water and liquid soap over an area larger than the mark itself and wait for at least an hour. Then wipe it with a soft cloth.
To disinfect the Radiation Protection Apparel, use Antifect (Schulke & Meyr) or Terralin (Schulke & Meyr) or equivalent agent. The cleansing agent must not contain alcohol.



Service Life & Guarantee
  • The service life of radiation protection apparel depends on their use and care, and can greatly vary. It is, therefore, necessary to check the protective function using the Lead Equivalence Test.
